Green Initiatives

Metal Recovery and Recycling
TASCO recovers and recycles scrap metal, fillings, and metal waste thats left behind during manufacturing. This great green initiative contributes to an industry supporting 85,000 jobs, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, uses less energy than making metal from virgin ore, and conserves natural resources.

Chemical Management
Our shop has implemented stringent chemical handling practices to control environmental and employee exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals. The chemicals and waste from manufacturing are safely housed in tanks and barrels in designated areas until picked up by our disposal vendor. We’ve also migrated all primers and paints in our spraying department to chromate free products to decrease environmental impact and increase employee safety.

Returnable/Reusable Packaging
Through a joint effort with our customers, we’ve been able to set up a program to reuse the packaging from our shipped parts. The customer simply sets aside the packaging in a designated area to be picked up by TASCO at a later date to be reused. This not only decreases environmental impact, but decreases the costs for both parties.

Paperless Invoicing
Our invoices are sent, and payments are received electronically to reduce paper requirements. This not only benefits the environment, but also the customer and TASCO by reducing costs, time, and clutter.

Ink Cartridge Recycling
Did you know that hundreds of millions of cartridges end up in landfills every year, made with plastics that take over 1,000 years to decompose? Not only that, ink cartridge manufacturers take about 80% less energy to re-manufacture recycled cartridges than to produce new. All of our cartridges are dropped off at the local Staples for proper disposal.
